The East Dubuque School District P.T.O.

PTO Minutes 2-28-11

 

I.                    Attendance:  Stacy Oberman, Stacey Duster, Jamie Culbertson, Tony Delaney, Amy Maiers, Tina Sieverding, Jen Montag, Sara Feyen, Laurie Miller, Michelle Till, Lori Olmstead, and Amy Reisen.  Meeting called to order at 5:08pm.

II.                 Reviewed Minutes from 1-24-11.  Motion to approve by Sara Feyen and Jen Montag seconded.

III.               Jen Montag reviewed the Treasurer’s Report.  Motion to approve by Sara Feyen and Laurie Miller seconded.

IV.              Fundraising

A.     Thumsers 19th Hole-Next one is tonight

B.     Wendy’s- Joy Brandt confirmed that we only to have someone check in at 5:00pm.  If no one can make it, we need to call and inform them that we don’t have anyone coming to represent us.

C.     Jumpin’ Janes- Next night is March 31st

D.     Grand Harbor- Next night is April 7th.  Jen Montag is working on getting the contract.

E.      Chestnut-ED is March 7th 12:00-9:00pm-No School that Day.  Ski form registrations will go home March 1st with the youngest member of each family.  Volunteers to possibly work at the sign in table: high school students or parents not skiing.  Stacey Duster will contact some of the possibilities

F.      Carlos O’Kellys- Continuing to sell coupon sheets, set up table for conferences and sell for $5, and maybe use as a part of teacher appreciation week

G.     Mr. Z’s- For the Reading Carnival on May 5th, Mr. Z’s will need about an hour to set up. Mrs. Sieverding is asking PTO to donate 2-3 big items for the raffle and possibly lunch for the volunteers.  Motion to approve $500 by Laurie Miller and seconded by Sarah Delaney.  May 6th –Raffle Date and possible Duct Tape day.

-Volunteers include:  Mr. Biermeier, Mrs. Till, Mr. Reisen, Mr. Delaney, Mr. Desanti, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Flynn, Ms. Maiers, and Mrs. Sieverding

     V.         New/Old Business

                  A.  Mrs. Sieverding –Reading Carnival

                  B.  Ms. Stierman—JH Auction, PTO will donate $100

      C.   By-Laws--Elections were brought up and no officer can serve two  

consecutive years.  Sara Feyen will serve as President for one more year and Bryan Reisen may take over the following year.

D.     Funnel Net Climber—Nu Toys—Replacement parts arrived.  If it breaks   

      again, pictures of it broken must be taken.

E.      Old Creamery Theatre—March 24th 9:30 AM for grades Preschool-5th.

F.      Lockers are being table for a later date.

G.     Spanish and Math Programs-Lily Springlemeyer inquired about a possibility for a program.  Michelle Till will be checking with Ms. Springlemeyer and Mrs. Surratt

VI.           Meeting adjourned at 5:58pm.  Motioned by Sara Feyen and seconded by    Laurie Miller.
