The East Dubuque School District P.T.O.

PTO Minutes 11-15-10

I. Attendance:  Sara Feyen, Lori Olmstead, Jen Montag, Karla Powers, Michelle

           Till, Kim Mulgrew, Laurie Miller, and Stacy Oberman.  Meeting called to order at 6:05pm by Sara Feyen.

     II. Reviewed Minutes from 10-18-10.  Motion to approve by Sara Feyen and Jen

          Montag seconded.         

   III. Jen Montag reviewed the Treasurer’s Report.  Motion to approve by Sara Feyen and

         Sarah Delaney seconded.

    IV. Fundraising

A.     Lori Olmstead continuing to prepare Fundraiser Notes

B.     Grand Harbor-checking into contact

C.     Thumser’s--Still waiting on profit from October 25^th

D.     Wendy’s-November 16^th Volleyball and Football Players will be attending to sign autographs.  Sara Feyen, Laurie Miller and Sarah Delaney working.  December—Christmas Choir may include students and/or staff—Stacy Oberman contacting Mary Flynn, Jen Montag and Stacy Oberman working December.

E.      Jumpin Janes—Unsure of November profit.  Future dates:  1/20 and 3/31

F.      Chestnut—Galena’s date is February 17^th and Stacey Duster is booking a date for East Dubuque.

G.     Carlos O Kellys—continue selling coupons; estimated $900 profit thus far.

H.     Mr. Z’s—Will vote in April/May for the staff member to be duct taped.  Water bottles will be raffled from the Quick Slip drawing.  Bowling slips will be distributed this week.   

I.        Warrior Orders—on hold until ?????

   V.  New/Old Business

         A.  Funnel Net Climber has been repaired.  Playground was installed June of 2007.            Checking on warranty.

         B.  Newsletters—News in the Round—Would like to include at PTO article.

         C.  Old Creamery Theatre—Assembly Organization—Interested in funding?       

               Michelle Till will discuss with Staff and then we will look into dates and cost.

D.     Teacher Request—Agendas for next year.  PTO planning to cover ½ the cost.  Sara Feyen motioned to approve and Lori Olmstead.

E.      Lockers—Lockers are not feasible if mounted to the walls.  Walls are not thick enough to support the weight of the lockers.  Can we look into lockers that mount to the floor?  More to come at the January Meeting.
