The Junior High students helped out with the reading carnival this year by helping set up, supervising the games, making popcorn, and  cleaning up.  We would like to thank the entire reading committee which consisted of Ms. Arner-Powers, Ms. Maiers, Mr. Reisen, Mrs. Neiland, Ms. Lange, Mrs. Miller, Ms. Smith, Mrs. Mosiman, Mrs. Sieverding, and Mrs. Rooney for all the work they put into making the carnival a
complete success.  Students, keep on reading this summer!
The Student Council helped
organized, sponsored items, and were auctioneer assistants for the junior high auction, which was held May 18.  A big thank you to Mr. Damien Koehler for being our auctioneer.  He taught us auction etiquette, how to bid on items, and how to spend our hard earned money.  Thanks to
Crescent Electric, the East Dubuque PTO, Chief O’Connell, and Dunleith Park District for donating items.
As tradition, the junior high rewards students who have had two or less detentions with a picnic in the park. The picnic was May 29 at the Dickeyville Park.  Students enjoyed the day playing softball, volleyball, and tennis.
The Student Council has had numerous dances this year and the last dance was held on the 22nd of May for the junior high students. The dance was from 7:00 to 9:30 and had a Hawaiian theme.
