| High School Band Grading Scale |
| Band grades will be figured on a point system.
At the end of each quarter, the points will be added up, then averaged.
Grades will be figured using the high school's grading scale. The
point breakdown is as follows: |
| Activity | Points Possible |
| Daily Class Participation | 5 points |
| Lessons | 5 points |
| Pep Band Performances | 10 points |
| Parade Performances | 25 points |
| Concert Performances | 50 points |
| Unexcused absences from performances will result in a zero. Missed performances will be considered unexcused unless cleared with Miss McNaught before the performance. If an emergency occurs and a student is unable to attend a performance at the last minute, a signed note from your parents/guardian should be given to Miss McNaught on the next school day. Extra credit may be earned by participating in extra music events like the IMEA Music Festival or IGSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest. |
