Finger Paint:

Mix 1/4 cup liquid starch

       2 Tbs. detergent powder

Add food coloring. Use on wax paper or cookie sheets.

Play Dough:

Mix: 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 2 tsp. cream of tarter, 1 cup water, 1 Tbs. vegetable oil

Mix and cook over medium heat until it forms a ball. Cool and knead well. Keep in covered containers. You may add food coloring to mix.

Bubbles:

Mix 1 cup water, 1/2tsp. sugar, 1Tbs. liquid detergent, 1 Tbs. glycerin.

Use berry baskets, twisted wire coat hangers, kitchen utensils, etc. for bubble blowing.

Clean Mud:

Materials: 3 bars of soap shaved, 4 rolls of toilet paper, 1 gallon of warm water, 1 large tub or container.

Directions: Tear the toilet paper into pieces, and place in container, add soap and water. Have children knead with hands. Mud will stay fresh for 1 month in air tight container. Add water if dry.

Kool-Aid Play Dough:

Materials: 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup salt, 2Tbs. cream of tartar, 1 envelope unsweetened Kool-Aid, 1 cup water, 1Tbs. vegetable oil

Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar, and Kool-Aid. Mix in medium saucepan. Stir in water and oil. Stir over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes until mixture forms a ball in center of pan. Remove to floured surface and knead for 1 minute. Store in plastic bag or airtight container in refrigerator.

Glorious Goop:

Measure 1/2 cup cornstarch into bowl. Add 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon water,  and mix in. It will be hard to stir. Stir in a few drops of food coloring.

Goop acts like a liquid and a solid.
