If not currently registered you can sign up for a free 1 month trial and have access to all resources.
Then go to: Teacher Center →→ Interactive Training→→Lesson 1. Be sure to complete lessons 2, 3 & 4 as well.
Please use headphones (if available) so as not to distract others.
Assignment 1: Assemble one complete lesson for class presentations. Include handouts, standards, etc. Previous users can create a hyperlink from text to United Streaming resources, create a link from an image and/or embed video in PowerPoint. Present project to class.
After the group introduction, spend time downloading other resources
for use in your classes. Go ahead and find a You Tube video and link to it
within your lesson. Or for those who want to go to the next level, embed a
video into PowerPoint. Go to the following for
tutorials/software/procedures.

Assignment 2: Select any two of the listed articles (Review of Literature/Class Reading Assignments) and develop a brief discussion outline for each. We will discuss your findings and opinions at mid-week.
Enrichment: Go to Day 3 and check out the links to online video sites. Incorporate one of these into your lesson.

Video Production Process:
Since we will be using Windows Movie Maker to create videos for your classrooms, go to the Digital Video Class Page and watch the Windows Movie Maker 2 Video. Movie Maker is included on all computers that have the Windows XP operating system.
Creating video footage: discussion of cameras, capturing, storyboarding, etc.
Putting it all together: editing, adding elements, etc.
Assignment 3: Good video production begins with good planning and storyboarding. Go to KidzOnline, select the Guest Login link and register for this free resource. Then select the Tech Training tab and check out the Technology Units available. Select the Digital Video Unit and Stream the following selections: #2 Digital Video: Getting Started and #4 Digital Video: Storyboard. We will then discuss the topics.
Assignment 4: Break into grade level or subject matter groups and develop a classroom video project. A couple of good sources to help with ideas are ULead's Video Project Ideas & ULead's Digital Video Lesson Archives (by grade level)
