| Dear Parents/Guardians, My name is Mrs. Kimberly Miller and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. Because I will be spending a good portion of the day with your child, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself, both professionally and personally. I began my teaching career in 2000. I became a partner in education with the East Dubuque School District in 2006. I have taught several different grade levels, but my love of teaching is with kindergarten students. Prior to teaching, I attended Elmhurst College, where I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and obtained a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction through Olivet-Nazarene University. I continue to take courses to further my education and stay current on educational policies and content. I am married to my husband, Andy and we have a daughter, Madelyn, a son, Carson, and a black Labrador Retriever, Abby. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, boating, 4-wheeling, and scrapbooking. I am looking forward to a great year! I encourage you to take an active approach in your child's kindergarten education and enjoy and experience the love of learning together. Please feel free to contact me at school 815 747-3117 ext. 3010 or kmiller.edschools@yahoo.com if you have any questions. Sincerely, Mrs. Miller |
